CUHK continue to combat recycling despite the tightened regulations

Waste | 01 January 2018

To tie in with the Mainland's tightened requirements for importing recyclables starting from 1 January 2018, the government plans to focus on recycling three types of waste paper and two types of waste plastic. However, CUHK's waste management contractor Secure Information Disposal Services Limited (SSID) will continue to collect various kinds of paper waste and clean plastic waste, and is in the process of introducing plastic bag recycling. We encourage all CUHK members to continue to recycle as much as possible!
