Teaching

CUHK has incorporated sustainability principles into its curriculum for our 26,000 students.  Through our teaching programmes, we aim to teach our students to think as global citizens and contribute to a more sustainable world.

Programmes with Sustainability-related Degree Courses

Given the multidisciplinary nature of sustainability issues, CUHK's environmental, energy and sustainability education is pursued across almost all faculties and colleges, and is incorporated in its general education programmes.  A non-exhaustive list of programmes with sustainability-related degree courses is as follows:

All undergraduate programmes require students to complete the University's General Education courses.  These courses are aimed at broadening students' knowledge base by providing a structured exposure to a number of fundamental human concerns and to possible approaches to them.  The courses include environmental and sustainability-related elements such as 'Humans' relationship with nature' and 'Nature, Science and Technology'.
