Energy Saving Championship Scheme 2019

The Environment Bureau and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department launched the 'Energy Saving for All 2019' Campaign to encourage the public to save energy and take action to mitigate climate change.  The Campaign features the 'Energy Saving Championship Scheme 2019', which aims to inspire the creativity of young people in energy saving and the application of renewable energy. 

Take the challenge and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes and to share experience on application of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies through visits or seminars for the trades.

Detail of the Competition (Secondary and Post-secondary School Category)

  • Individual student or group of students (max. 5 students) of secondary/post-secondary school is eligible
  • Participants are required to submit completed application form or online application form, together with the following items (one or more) for interpretation of project/ idea:
    • Drawing (A3 size) with short description
    • Multimedia video (up to 5 mins)
    • PowerPoint file (up to 20 slides)
  • Participants will complete for the below awards:
    • Hanson Grand Award (one winner)
      – HK$8,000 Book Voucher or learning device gift voucher
    • Hanson Outstanding Awards (up to 4 winners)
      – HK$4,000 Book Voucher or learning device gift voucher
    • Hanson Merit Awards (up to 10 winners)
      – HK$2,000 Book Voucher or learning device gift voucher
    • Best Presentation Award (one winner)
      – HK$3,000 Book Voucher or learning device gift voucher
