Call for Green Team Volunteers (Reusable Cups Team) for HK Rugby Seven

Organizer: The Hong Kong Rugby Union (HKRU)

To continue the mission to reduce the environmental impact of the Hong Kong Sevens with the slogan 'Tackling Waste!', the HK Rugby Union (HKRU) is keen on looking for volunteers at the Rugby 7s (hksevens.com) this year at the Hong Kong Stadium to help with their Green Rugby initiatives.

Call for Green Team Volunteers - Reusable Cups Team:

  • 18 years old or older;
  • able to speak English and/or Cantonese;
  • already passionate about reducing single-use plastics in our community; and
  • willing to dedicate their energy and enthusiasm to promoting and encouraging better recycling and waste management behaviour during the tournament.

Main Tasks:

  • Support the Reusable Cups Booths set up
  • Support the refilling of the reusable cups at the concession stores
  • Support the cash / Octopus card rebate system at the Booths
  • Help promote the Reusable Cups Campaign
  • Any other logistic support to Reusable Cups Team

Timeslots: 

  • Fri (5 April): Shift A - 6:30am to 1:30pm; Shift B - 1:30pm to 9:30pm
  • Sat (6 April): Shift A - 6:30am to 1:30pm; Shift B - 1:30pm to 9:30pm
  • Sun (7 April): Shift A - 6:30am to 1:30pm; Shift B - 1:30pm to 9:30pm
    (Meet up at the HK Stadium side entrance near Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay)

Briefing Sessions: 

  • Tue: (2 April): Session 1 - 2pm to 4pm; Session 2 - 7:30pm to 8:30pm or
  • Wed: (3 April): Session 1 - 10am to noon; Session 2 - 7:30pm to 8:30pm
    (Either session on either day at Olympic House Theater: 2/F, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay)

As a token of appeciation, HKRU will give out each volunteer:

  • A T-shirt;
  • A meal per shift; and
  • A pass to the event for the day of their shift.
